The International Christian Zionist Center is thankful to be able to present the latest draft program for the 2009 Christian celebration during the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem. The Feast this year falls from October 3 to 10.
Please note that some program details may alter as we near this appointed time.
Then saviors shall come to Mount Zion, to judge the mountains of Esau, and the kingdom shall be the LORD's. (Obadiah 1:21)
Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you. (Genesis 13:17)
A word from the Director,
We have great expectation and excitement in our hearts as we look forward to the 2009 Feast of Taberncales.
The nature and strategy for this upcoming Feast will be somewhat different from what we have experienced before. The Lord alone knows what the future holds, and we believe He has guided us to prepare for the most effective way in which we can be used to bring our gift of worship to Him, and to be a blessing to His beloved and worn-out people Israel.
By Sukkot 2009, Israel will have a new prime minister in charge of a new government. Global pressure on that new leadership to forfeit the Jews' divinely-promised land in exchange for an (at best) uncertain peace will be massive. As true believers in the God of Israel and His Word, it is imperative thath we come together from all our nations to stand with the people of Israel and encourage them to believe in God's uncoditional covenant, and to be strong!
Our prophetic program for the coming Feast is being laid out around this very theme: the covenant and promises of God to Israel regarding the land.
Here in Jerusalem, as we have begun to prayerfully plan and move forward into the 2009 schedule, we are sensing the quiet stamp of God's approval and presence. Our Feast theme Scriptures are Obadiah 1:21 and Genesis 13:17.
Then saviors shall come to Mount Zion to judge the mountains of Esau. And the kingdom shall be the LORD's. (Obadiah 1:21)
Arise, walk in the land through its length amd its width, for I give it to you. (Genesis 13:17)
We will have a number of opportunities to speak encouragement to the nation as we visit key sites, some of which are on the world's intended political chopping block. We intend to make our comforting of Israel visible to this nation via TV and other media coverage.
Like Abraham, we will literally travel the length and the breadth of the land, stopping at various places to demonstrate our agreement with God's covenantal promises to His ancient people. We will use our faith and our feet to show solidarity with Israel at this late hour.
It is time to rise up! Come, start your spiritual and financial preparations early, and work hard to bring as many with you as you can!
I bless you from Zion, and look forward to seeing you in Jerusalem in October 2009.
Yours for His glory
Jan Willem van der Hoeven - Director, International Christian Zionist Center.
